Board Game Team Update
Our team has been busy at work using board games as a way to support community resilience.
On June 1st, Tom Maiorana hosted a Spanish-language version of the board game (Wildfire Resilience) in partnership with Gustavo Agredano and Charlotte Zeamer of the Santa Barbara County Fire Safe Council at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Tom led the workshop and Gustavo translated the directions and discussions to the community. We had a total of 24 people in attendance who were highly engaged. We are currently assembling the feedback from the event, but by all accounts it was highly successful and a clear sign that we can run events in additional languages with community support.
